KEEP THEM WARM THIS WINTER!
🐕 HVAC Emergency: “Heat for the Kennels”
The Challenge:
Wyoming winters are brutal. Our existing heating system has completely broken down and is not repairable, leaving our rescue animals exposed to extreme drafts. Without heat and proper ventilation, vulnerable pets face freezing temperatures and an immediate spike in deadly upper respiratory infections. We are in an urgent race against the clock to replace this system before the first winter freeze hits.
The Solution:
The “Heat for the Kennels” project is a critical emergency campaign to fund the purchase of commercial-grade heating equipment and the skilled professional labor required to install it immediately. (U$D)
The Impact:
Urgent Winter Prep: Guarantees professional installation are secured before sub-zero winter temperatures arrive.
Life-Saving Warmth: Delivers stable, immediate heat to animals recovering from severe trauma, neglect, and exposure.
Disease Prevention: Stops the airborne transmission of shelter sicknesses through high-volume, purified air exchange.
LEAN WATER, CLEAN SAVINGS!
💧 Join the Water Brigade: “Water for the Shelter”
The Challenge:
Clean water is non-negotiable for our daily operations, but our off-grid location means we must constantly transport water to our facility cistern. Paying a commercial company to haul water out to us creates an unsustainable financial drain — directly eating up vital funds needed for animal food, shelter, and medical care. We need a grassroots solution to lower our bills immediately.
The Solution:
The “Water Brigade” campaign recruits dedicated local volunteers with trucks, trailers, or hauling equipment to help transport water to our shelter. By stepping up as a community, we can completely eliminate commercial delivery fees and protect our operational budget.
The Impact:
Lowering the Bills: Instantly cuts massive commercial utility fees, redirecting thousands of dollars straight back into animal care.
Direct Care Support: Frees up financial resources to fund emergency veterinary surgeries, warm meals, and daily rescue operations.
Community Resilience: Keeps our facility fully stocked and operational through local volunteer teamwork.
HARNESS WYOMING SUNLIGHT !
☀️ Solar Project: “Light for the Future”
The Challenge:
As we expand our facilities to rescue more abandoned animals, our energy needs are rapidly growing. Operating an off-grid shelter means our electricity costs directly eat into the funds we desperately need for emergency medical care, food, and daily operations.
The Solution:
Our “Light for the Future” initiative transitions the shelter to clean, sustainable solar energy. By installing a robust solar array, we are harnessing Wyoming's natural sunlight to power our facility. This project secures our long-term operational resilience and ensures our rescue work is environmentally and financially sustainable.
The Impact:
Redirected Funds: Every dollar saved on our monthly electricity bill is immediately channeled back into our life-saving programs.
Constant Reliability: Clean, backup solar power keeps our facility fully operational, protecting our animals during unexpected regional grid failures.
Green Innovation: Setting a new standard for rural shelters by shrinking our carbon footprint while growing our rescue capacity.

Keep Them Warm this Winter!
The dog days of summer
are living up to their name—and not in a good way. The play yards at Lander Pet Connection are all gravel with zero shade, and in the blazing afternoon sun, they become too hot for paws and too dangerous for play.
That means our dogs—many of whom already spend much of their time in their kennels—lose precious opportunities for exercise, enrichment, and socialization during the hottest hours of the day.
We’re on a mission to change that. Help us meet our goal of raising $7500 for some essential yard upgrades!
