HISTORY

Established in 1996 by the visionary Syd Miller, the Lander Pet Connection emerged as a vital sanctuary for companion animals in Lander and the vast expanses of Fremont County.

This esteemed (501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue, shelter, and adoption organization traces its origins to the "Dare to Care Animal League," a name that later evolved into its current meaningful title, the “Lander Pet Connection”.

Through Syd Miller's tireless devotion, hundreds of abandoned, injured, and lost animals have been granted second chances, embodying a profound legacy of kindness that continues to nurture the sacred bond between humans and their faithful companions amid the majestic winds of the American West.

  2. Match - A team member will contact you to discuss the best fit.

  3. Meet - Visit the shelter to meet your potential new pet.

  4. Home - Bring a leash, collar, or carrier to take your pet home!
