Compassion in Action
History
Established in 1996 by the visionary Syd Miller, the Lander Pet Connection emerged as a vital sanctuary for companion animals in Lander and the vast expanses of Fremont County.
This esteemed (501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue, shelter, and adoption organization traces its origins to the "Dare to Care Animal League," a name that later evolved into its current meaningful title, the “Lander Pet Connection”.
Through Syd Miller's tireless devotion, hundreds of abandoned, injured, and lost animals have been granted second chances, embodying a profound legacy of kindness that continues to nurture the sacred bond between humans and their faithful companions amid the majestic winds of the American West.
How Do I Adopt?
Adopters are welcome here at the LPC! We can’t wait to help you welcome your new best friend into your family. Simply fill out our Adoption Questionnaire to get started ~ a team member will give you a call once it is submitted.
Foster
Fostering helps animals decompress, heal from trauma, and gives us extra space in our shelter! We need foster families to help our rescued animals so they know what safety, kindness and full bellies are like. If you can help foster one of dogs or cats, we can’t wait to meet you.
