OUR STORY
The Origin: Established in 1996 by the visionary Syd Miller as an independent rescue, our organization emerged as a vital sanctuary for companion animals in Lander and across the vast expanses of Fremont County.
The Evolution: This esteemed 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue, shelter, and adoption organization traces its roots back to the "Dare to Care Animal League", a name that later evolved into its current meaningful title, the “Lander Pet Connection”.
The Legacy: Through Syd Miller's tireless devotion, hundreds of abandoned, injured, and lost animals have been granted second chances, embodying a profound spirit of kindness that continues to nurture the sacred bond between humans and their faithful companions amid the majestic winds of the American West.
"Building a community-supported safety net for pets and families across Fremont County.”
