Through the years, we have been blessed with many wonderful volunteers and staff. Please take a moment to get to know those who work behind the scenes.
Jeanne and her husband moved to Lander in 1998. She initially became familiar with the Pet Connection through knowing Syd Miller. Jeanne serves on the Animal Adoption and Evaluation Committee, spends time working with the animals and maintains our database. She is proud to be a board member and appreciates the hard work put in by the dedicated staff and volunteers at LPC.
Jeanne works at NOLS as the PR and Partnership Manager. She also is a volunteer with Lander Search and Rescue and has two rescue dogs.
Susan and her husband Dave moved to Lander in 2015 after retiring from teaching 1st grade in California. They both enjoy the rewarding experience of volunteering at LPC.
They have adopted two puppies and two kittens since moving to Lander - all LPC alums!
Ellie and her family moved to Lander in 2017 from Colorado. She has worked with other shelters and rescue groups throughout Colorado and started off as a volunteer dog walker for the Lander Pet Connection. She is an avid animal advocate and loves the work that LPC does.
Ellie's background is in marketing and communications and has spent most the of the last 25 years working in that field. But she recently made a career change and opened a small business in Lander. When not working she is head stall mucker, official poop scooper and "starvin' marvin" feeder for her small ranch that includes horses, dairy goats, dogs, cats, birds and chickens.
The Unsung Heroes .....
These are the people who do all the work - our kennel staff. They provide the very best care and attention to all our beloved animals.
Thanks for all you do!
